Chandra Perera Novelist
About the Author

Chandra Perera was born in Sri Lanka and educated in Japan and the United States. After completing his studies in psychology and literature at Friends World College and the University of the State of New York, he studied poetics and researched the creative process in psychoanalytical literature.

He traveled extensively in Europe and India and began writing literary fiction while living in London. Mr. Perera later lived on the island of Hawaii where he wrote Burning Woman, Buddha in the Forest, and the soon-to-be-released novel The Everlasting Field. His fiction explores the themes of existential crisis and transcendent potential of the human spirit.

Currently, he is preparing Demon King's Flying Machine, Futility of Nostalgia, and The Elephant Hunter for publication. He is also writing a new novel based on a journey into the Pacific Northwest wilderness. Chandra Perera lives in Seattle, Washington.
